Internal coating for drinking water

Izostal S.A. offers internal flow coating for transportation of portable drinking water. Coating consists of cured two component polyurethane paint of thickness minimum 1500 µm.

Coating process is divided into the following stages:

     •    Abresive blast cleaningof the steel pipe surface to Sa 2 ½ according to PN-EN ISO 8501-1
     •    Application of paint coating through airless spray process
     •    Conditioning of coated pipes in heated chamber in order to obtain touch dry coating

Advantages of the internal coating of carrier pipes include the following:

     •    reduced mass of pipes intended to use for water transportation infrastructure
     •    appreciable improvement of anticorrosion protection during storage and assembly
     •    excellent hardness and cracking resistance
     •    safety towards drinking water (coating is certified by Polish Hygienic Institute)
